Not an Official Real Estate Agents “License”.
Estate Agents Law 71 (1) / 2010
Any person who is practicing, either directly or indirectly, as an Εstate Αgent, without an OFFICIAL CYPRUS LICENSE , which is issued by the ‘Registration Council of Real Estate Agents’, ( which is a semi – Governmental Legal Body of public authority ) , is committing a CRIMINAL penal OFFENCE and in the event of his conviction by the Cyprus Law Courts, he is liable to be sentenced to go to PRISON up to 12 months, or to pay a fine not exceeding three thousand five hundred Euro or both such sentences imprisonment and fine.” ‘ Estate Agents Law 71 (1) / 2010 ’
Unqualified illegal cowboy PIRATES who pretend to be Estate Agents are liable to GO TO PRISON !!!
It is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE for illegal cowboy PIRATES who pretend to be Estate Agents to ADVERTISE property for sale or purchase or for rent :
Any person who does not hold an annual official Real Estate Agents License , commits a criminal offence if he “advertises or promotes or suggest any property sale or purchase or any other transaction relating to immovable property, that at the relevant time was not register in his name or in the name of a blood marriage up to the second degree, or in name of a company of which he is a director or executive director.”
The Licensed Real Estate Agent must display his Professional License in his office so that it can be inspected by all his clients. The Cyprus Government made this Law to PROTECT the property BUYERS from anyone who try to cheat them .
DO NOT PAY COMMISSION to anyone unless you see his OFFICIAL REAL ESTATE AGENTS LICENSE and his Registration Number.
